The DOT regulation 49 CFR Part 40 defines the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) as a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug & alcohol regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
The SAP's function is to protect the public interest in safety by professionally evaluating employees who operate school buses, planes, oil tankers, trains, subway cars, or emergency control valves of a natural gas pipeline.

National Certified Addiction Counselor II, MN Licensed Professional
Clinical Counselor, MN Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and
approved Clinical Supervisor, and Registered Yoga Teacher.
